Vol. 126 No. 5

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11—Estimates— and 9, Social Welfare Bill, 1951. No. 9 will be taken immediately after questions. It is proposed to take questions at 3 o'clock.

On the question of the Finance Bill, if it is desired and if it is possible to take all the stages to-day, we would ask for a break between the Committee Stage and the final stages. If the Committee Stage finishes before 1 o'clock we would ask that the final stages be taken at 1 o'clock.

Are you suggesting that if the earlier stages are completed before 1 o'clock, Estimates should be taken for a while and then the final stages of the Finance Bill at 1 o'clock?

If the Committee Stage goes through and if we reach the final stages, there will be no difficulty in completing these stages to-day.
