Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Forestry Workers' Wages.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the rates of wages paid to forestry workers in the counties of (1) Laoighis and (2) Offaly, in February, 1948, and the rates sanctioned to date for each area.

Forestry labourers in general were paid at the rate of 52/- a week in Laoighis and Offaly in February, 1948, although the rate was 54/- a week in some cases. The present rates are 80/-in Laoighis and 71/- in Offaly.
