Vol. 126 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - School for County Dublin.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the need for a new school at Shankill, County Dublin; and, if so, if he will indicate when a new school will be provided.

I am aware of the need for the erection of a new school to replace the present defective national school at Tillystown, Shankill, County Dublin.

The Department has been in correspondence with the manager with a view to having the necessary steps taken for the provision of a new building, but so far the manager has not succeeded in obtaining a suitable site. The case is receiving the closest attention of the Department, but no progress can be made until a suitable site has been provided.
