Vol. 126 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Air Accident.

asked the Minister for Defence whether an investigation has been carried out into the recent air accident which resulted in the death of an air corps officer; and, if so, with what result.

A court of inquiry was assembled to investigate the accident referred to by the Deputy and its findings are at present under examination.

I think the Minister is aware that there is a certain amount of uneasiness concerning the recent accidents that have happened in the Air Force and I take it that the Minister will have the matter thoroughly investigated and satisfy himself that it is not due to inadequate material that these accidents occurred.

Yes. That will be examined all right.
