Questions— Written Answers. - Naas Road Accidents.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state the number of accidents that have been reported as taking place on the main road between the city boundary and Naas, County Kildare, in each of the years 1947 to date, and state the number of these which involved loss of life.

The number of accidents on the Dublin-Naas road in each of the years 1947 to 1950 and in the half-year ended 30th June, 1951, were:—

1947

124 of which 3 were fatal

1948

99 of which 2 were fatal

1949

133 of which 3 were fatal

1950

176 of which 5 were fatal

1951

72 of which 2 were fatal
