Vol. 127 No. 1

Questions— Written Answers. - Old I.R.A. Pensions.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that a large number of Old I.R.A. claimants for pensions are awaiting a sitting of the tribunal investigating claims in Waterford City and county, and, if so, if he will indicate the approximate date on which the tribunal will sit in Waterford to hear these claims, and, further, if he will state whether it is proposed to have a hearing in Dungarvan to cater for claimants for pensions from West County Waterford.

The Referee hopes to be in a position to arrange sittings for the hearing of applications under the Military Service Pensions Acts at Waterford during January next. The question as to whether sittings may be arranged at Dungarvan for the hearing of applications from West Waterford will be determined by the number of applications from that area.
