asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the number of (a) licences issued in each of the last five years in respect of pure-bred dairy (double and single) Shorthorn bulls, beef Shorthorn bulls, non-pedigree Shorthorn bulls, Hereford, Aberdeen Angus, other breeds, and (b) premiums awarded in each of the last five years in respect of pure-bred dairy Shorthorns (double and single), non-pedigree dairy Shorthorns, Hereford, Aberdeen Angus, other breeds.

(a) The numbers of licences issued under the Live Stock Breeding Act, 1925, to keep bulls were as follows in each of the years 1946 to 1950 inclusive:—
