It is the intention of the Government to develop turf fuel production by mechanical methods and to foster the production of hand-won turf by financial help and marketing arrangements. The steps to be taken to implement this policy as far as hand-won turf is concerned in the coming year are at present under examination. It has been arranged that Bord na Móna will operate the turf production schemes under their control to the maximum capacity in 1952.
