Vol. 127 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Defence Forces Pension Scheme.

asked the Minister for Defence if he has received from the Air Corps flying personnel dependents' association proposals for the amendment of the Defence Forces pension scheme to provide for the payment of increased allowances to the widows and families of Air Corps personnel killed while engaged on flying operations; and, if so, if he will say what is the present position of the matter.

I have received proposals as indicated in the Deputy's question. I am considering the question of improving generally the present provisions for dependents of Army personnel who lose their lives as a result of wounds or injuries received in the course of duty.
