Vol. 127 No. 2

Questions— Written Answers. - Dumping-Ground at Wexford.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state when the result of the inquiry into the question of the location of the dumping-ground at Wexford will be made known.

A decision regarding the application of the Wexford Corporation to use a portion of the foreshore at Farnogue for dumping purposes rests with the Minister for Industry and Commerce. A public inquiry into the sanitary considerations involved was held by an officer of my Department for the purpose of assisting the Minister for Industry and Commerce in ruling on the application. The results of the inquiry were conveyed to that Minister for consideration by him in dealing with the corporation's application.
