Vol. 127 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housebuilding Delay.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the cause of the delay in the erection of houses by the Offaly County Council in Rhode, Offaly.

I understand that in formulating their housing programme the Offaly County Council decided to give prior attention to other areas in the county health district where they considered that the need for houses was greater than in Rhode. I am informed that the council are at present negotiating for a site on which to build ten houses required to satisfy the needs of Rhode.
