Vol. 128 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Credit Corporation.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the number of applications for loans received by the Agricultural Credit Corporation and the number of loans granted in the past three years.

I am informed that the number of applications for loans received by the Agricultural Credit Corporation in the past three years was as follows:—

Year ended

31st October,

1949

2,297

31st October,

1950

2,144

31st October,

1951

2,424

The number of applications sanctioned was 1,249, 1,164 and 1,367, respectively, and the number of loans issued was 843, 755 and 794, respectively.

Has the Minister conveniently to his hand the amount of the total loans issued in each of those years?

No, but I remember the figure from last day. It was about £3,800,000. I do not know, however, how much for each year.
