Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Outstanding Pension Applications.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the number of applications still outstanding for pensions under the Military Service Pensions Acts.

Of the 16,417 Petitions and Applications received to date, the Advisory Committee and the Board of Assessors have examined 10,076 claims. Of that number 1,343 claimants have been found to have good prima facie cases and have been heard by the Referee, who has reported favourably on 565, unfavourably on 453 and has deferred 325 claims.
