Vol. 128 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cigarette Prices.

Mr. Byrne

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state, with further reference to the question and his reply on 28th November, 1951, on the retail prices of cigarettes, (a) by what percentage the smallest-sized cigarettes have been increased in weight since 1939; (b) by what percentage the medium-sized cigarettes have been reduced in weight since 1939, and (c) the present exact relationship between them in weight.

It is not the practice in the case of ordinary commercial undertakings to furnish information of the nature requested by the Deputy which has been furnished in confidence to my Department.
