Vol. 128 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Prices of Motor Cars.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he received a resolution from the executive committee of the Private Motorists' Protection Association requesting the Government Department concerned to institute an inquiry into the prices of motor cars in the Republic of Ireland, and, if so, if he proposes to institute such an inquiry.

I received a resolution of the nature referred to by the Deputy. The prices of motor cars are kept under review in my Department. The most recent accounts of assemblers are at present under examination but I cannot say at this stage whether any adjustment in present prices is justified.
