Vol. 128 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Naas Railway Bridge.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the date on which the Kildare County Council supplied the details and estimate of the cost of the replacement of the railway bridge at Naas, County Kildare, whether he proposes to approve of such plans; and, if so, what grant he will make available for such work.

The documents referred to by the Deputy were received in the Department on 17th July, 1951. They were accompanied by an application from the Kildare County Council for a grant to cover the cost of the work. Approval has now been obtained to a grant of 75 per cent. of the estimated cost and the county council are being so informed. The plans are in order subject to the settlement of some minor points.
