asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state in respect of each ship ordered by, but not yet delivered to, Irish Shipping, Limited, the size and type and the trade for which each ship is being purchased together with the date upon which the contract for each ship was made and the place at which each ship will be built.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Size and Type of Ships.
I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have circulated with the Official Report a statement giving the particulars required by the Deputy.
I would point out that the particulars in the statement relate only to vessels for which orders have actually been placed. Orders are being negotiated for two further dry cargo vessels, each of 9,500 tons dead-weight, and for a collier of 1,350 tons dead-weight.
