asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that local government officials who were compulsorily retired on the amalgamation of the unions are finding it impossible to subsist on the small pensions now being paid to them; and, if so, if he will have their case specially considered with a view to an increase in their pensions, if necessary by the introduction of proposals for legislation.
