Vol. 129 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Allotment of Carter Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Carter Estate, New Barn, Kilsallaghan, County Dublin, has been alloted; and, if so, to whom.

Portion of the estate has been alloted. Apart from two plots of one and two acres each, the lands were alloted to migrants.

Am I to take it that this entire estate has been allotted to migrants and that none of it has been divided amongst local people?

Only portion of the estate has been allotted.

What portion?

As I have said, with the exception of two plots, the portion allotted so far has been allotted to migrants.

That is contrary to what the Minister's representative has been telling the people in that part of the country.
