Vol. 129 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Graveyard at Glendalough.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that, owing to the delay in the promulgation of the result of the sworn inquiry in regard to the Glendalough graveyard held in Rathdrum many months ago, grave hardship is being caused to the residents of the district, as the only other available burial grounds in the vicinity are in Glenealy, Rathdrum and Rathnew, all of which are ten to 14 miles away and if, to allay local anxiety in the matter, he will give an assurance that definite action will be taken forthwith.

I informed the county council a fortnight ago that I had dismissed the petition.
