asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, in respect of the years ended 31st March, 1949, 1950 and 1951, the total rates collected in (a) county health districts; (b) urban districts, including town commissioners' districts, and (c) county boroughs; and the gross total of rates so collected.

(ii) The foregoing figures are in a number of cases subject to audit. It must be noted that the figures in respect of rates collected as shown in the Annual Reports of the Department of Local Government include, in addition to the actual rates as in the foregoing statement, the amounts collected in respect of increases in rents of small dwellings in the ownership of rating authorities.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, for each of the years ended 31st March, 1949, 1950 and 1951, the average of the total rates collected per head of the population and per £ of valuation, distinguishing between the rates collected in (a) county health districts; (b) county boroughs; (c) urban county districts, and the averages for the total rate collection.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the assessment of the county rate collection made by county councils, exclusive of sums from urban district councils in the year 1950-51, the arrears carried forward from the preceding year, and the total of the warrants.
