Vol. 129 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - River Deal Drainage.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state whether a scheme for the drainage of the River Deal from Ballindrait to Lifford, County Donegal, is planned; and, if not, if he will have steps taken to have a drainage scheme prepared.

The question of carrying out drainage improvement works on the River Deal will be considered by the Commissioners of Public Works in due course as part of a comprehensive scheme under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, but it is not possible at this stage to say when such a scheme can be undertaken.
