Vol. 129 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - School Needs at Shankill.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the need for a new school in Shankill area and if he will now say what the prospects are of supplying this need in the near future.

I am aware of the need for the erection of a new school to replace the present Tillystown National School, Shankill, County Dublin.

The Department has been in correspondence with the manager with a view to having a suitable site made available for a new building. I understand that the manager is endeavouring to negotiate for the acquisition of a site which would be acceptable, but there are certain legal matters to be settled by the manager before the plot can be acquired.
