Vol. 130 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Milk Collection.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he has yet found a solution to the milk collection problem in the Akista-Kilcrohane area, County Cork.

As I informed the Deputy last November, in reply to a question on this subject, the Drinagh Co-Operative Creamery, Limited, within whose territory the Ahakista-Kilcrohane district lies were endeavouring to initiate a cartage system in this area and had offered to provide milk floats to enable groups of farmers to deliver their combined milk supplies to the existing separating stations at Durrus and Kilcrohane. I understand that the Irish Agricultural Organisation Society is at present trying in conjunction with the Drinagh Creamery, to get the local farmers to co-operate in the matter.
