Vol. 130 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Electricity for Glencolumbcille.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will urge the Electricity Supply Board to extend their network to the ancient and historic Gaeltacht parish of Glencolumbcille, County Donegal.

I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that they have been approached by some residents of Glencolumbcille about the extension of the rural electrification scheme to the parish. The board expect that the residents will form a committee to make a preliminary canvass of the householders and when the result of this local canvass is available to the board they will consider the question of making a detailed investigation by their officers.
