asked the Minister for Finance if a contract has been entered into for the building of a primary school at Armagh Road, Dublin, for the Christian Brothers; and, if so, if he will state (a) the number of tenders received; (b) the names of the building contractors who submitted tenders; (c) the amount of the tender in each case; (d) the name of the successful contractor; (e) whether the lowest tender was accepted, and (f) the considerations which caused the acceptance of the tender.

Responsibility for the execution of proposed extension works at the school referred to rests with the school manager and I am not in a position to say whether a contract has yet been entered into by him. It is contrary to practice to disclose the details of tendering.
