The accounts of the receipts of entertainments duty are kept on the basis of financial years only and segregation by reference to calendar years would entail an undue amount of work.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to have circulated in the Official Report a tabular statement showing for the financial years 1942-43 to 1951-52 inclusive the approximate net receipts of entertainments duty for cinemas.
