Vol. 131 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Service.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will take immediate steps to see that long-standing applications for telephone service from Wexford town and district are dealt with as soon as possible.

Pre-1951 waiting applications for telephone service in the Wexford area were dealt with towards the end of last year and in comparison with many other areas the delay in dealing with last year's applications in the Wexford area is not abnormal. Wexford will probably be reached again in the clearance programme later this year.

The Minister could not give any idea as to the month in which this work will be undertaken?

I am unable to say.
