Vol. 131 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Appointment of Coast Watchers.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if a decision has yet been reached regarding the appointment of coast watchers at Bolus Head or Reen. Ballinskelligs, and at Bray Head, Valentia Island; and, if so, the nature of the decision.

There is nothing which I can usefully add to the reply which was given on 30th January, 1952, to a question in the same connection from the Deputy. On that occasion it was indicated that the general organisation of the Coast Life Saving Service and the question of the points at which the maintenance of watches is required are kept under constant review and that the Deputy's representations would be borne in mind when coast life-saving requirements in Kerry are under consideration.
