Vol. 131 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Caherdaniel Road Repairs.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware of the urgent necessity for the repair of the road leading through the townland of Brackaragh, Castlecove (Electoral Division), Caherdaniel, which would facilitate the local farmers and the general public; and, if so, if he will allocate the necessary grant for the carrying through of the scheme.

It is assumed that the road in question is leading from the main road near Michael White's shop, north-west to Florence Mahony's gate, and if this is the case, the proposal will be considered on its merits in competition with any other proposals from the same area when next winter's employment schemes programme is being prepared. It can, however, be given priority if the beneficiaries are prepared to submit it for consideration under the rural improvements scheme to which a contribution is required.
