Vol. 131 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Commission Workers' Wages in Kerry.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the present weekly wage paid by his Department to workers engaged in the repair of embankments in the district of Keel, Castlemaine, County Kerry, is £3 14s.; and, further, that the weekly wage paid to road workers in the same district is £4 6s.; and, if so, if he will now arrange to have the weekly wage paid to workers in his Department in Kerry increased to £4 6s.

The wages of county council road workers in Kerry have been increased from £3 14s. to £4 a week as from 1st April last. A similar increase as from the same date is being granted to Land Commission labourers in the county.
