Written Answers. - Capital Services.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of the voted items for 1952-53 value £9.28 millions corresponding to those classified as capital services in the Book of Estimates for 1951-52.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of the actual capital expenditure of £33,000,000 in 1951-52 under the following heads: (1) issues to local authorities from the local loans fund for housing, (2) grants to local authorities from voted moneys for housing, (3) grants to private persons, etc., for housing, (4) land rehabilitation, etc., (5) local authority drainage, etc., (6) arterial drainage, (7) grants for farm buildings, etc., (8) grants for poultry and egg production, (9) electricity development, (10) telephone system, (11) advances to the Road Fund, (12) advances to Córas Iompair Éireann, (13) harbours, airports, etc., (14) schools, (15) other State buildings, (16) turf development, (17) sanitary services, (18) county homes, hospitals, etc., (19) afforestation, (20) fisheries development, and (21) mineral development.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of the estimated capital expenditure in 1952-53 under the following heads (1) issues to local authorities from the local loans fund for housing, (2) grants to local authorities from voted moneys for housing, (3) grants to private persons for housing, (4) land rehabilitation, etc., (5) local authority drainage, etc., (6) arterial drainage, (7) grants for farm buildings, (8) grants for poultry and egg production, (9) other schemes of agricultural development, (10) advances to the Road Fund, (11) advances to Córas Iompair Éireann, (12) harbours, airports, etc., (13) schools, (14) other State buildings, and (15) mineral development.

It is proposed to take questions Nos. 49, 50 and 51 together.

Details of capital expenditure in 1951/2 and estimates for 1952/3 have already been made available in the Estimates Volume for Supply Services, in the White Paper of Receipts and Expenditure and in the Budget Statement. Some of the details of expenditure asked for by the Deputy will not be available until the Appropriation and other accounts have been prepared and audited.
