Vol. 132 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Export of Pullets.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware that pullets are now being exported in abnormal numbers which may lead to a considerable egg scarcity later in the year; and, if so, if he will indicate the steps he proposes to take to stabilise the position.

I am not aware that the position is anything like that suggested by the Deputy. The proportion of pullets being exported at present is very little greater than at this time last year.
