Vol. 132 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Income.

asked the Taoiseach whether he is in a position to give the figures for the national income for the year 1951.

asked the Taoiseach when it is expected that the report on national income in course of preparation by the Central Statistics Office, referred to by him in reply to a question on the 22nd April, 1952, will be available.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 2 and 3 together.

The compilation of the national income statistics for the year 1951 has not yet reached such a point that it is possible to give a figure for the amount of the national income for that year. Every effort is being made to complete the work as soon as possible and it is hoped to publish the results within the next two months.
