Vol. 132 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pig, Pork and Bacon Prices.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the prices paid, per cwt., by the British Ministry of Food to the Pigs and Bacon Commission for (a) live pigs, (b) pork, and (c) bacon exported from this country.

Mr. Walsh

As regards (a) and (b) the price is 2/6 per score less than the dead-weight price paid for similar pigs to producers in Great Britain. As regards (c) the price is the Ministry of Food's general import price for bacon.
