No application for sanction to a loan of £5,000 for the development of the park at Bantry has been made, but the town commissioners have intimated their intention to defray the cost of the project by way of borrowing. The technical aspects of the proposal are being examined at present, and when this examination is completed the matter of the loan will be further considered.
