Dáil Éireann debate -

Vol. 132 No. 10

Quotation from Dáil Debates.

Deputy Sweetman wishes to make a statement.

Earlier to-day, Deputy Burke gave a quotation from Volume 9 of the Dáil Debates in regard to a speech made by Deputy McGilligan. He was asked to quote the words which followed. With your permission, I should now like to quote them, following the quotation that was read by Deputy Burke. The quotation is from column 562. Deputy Colohan said:—

"That would solve the problem.

Mr. McGilligan: It might solve the problem but not in the way that I desire or that the Deputy desires."

I understand that I am not allowed to make any comment, but that I am merely allowed to quote.

That closes the incident.
