Vol. 132 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Bus Service.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the need for a bus service from North West Dublin, Glasnevin, Cabra and Drumcondra districts, through Phibsboro', Broadstone, Upper and Lower Dorset Street, Bolton Street, North King Street and Church Street to the centre of city; and, if so, if he will request Córas Iompair Éireann to provide this essential new service.

The responsibility for meeting the demand for transport facilities has been placed by the Transport Act, 1950, on the board of Córas Iompair Éireann, appointed under that Act by the Government. I would suggest that the Deputy communicate direct with the board in the matter.
