Vol. 132 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Refund of Fishing Licence Fees.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that fishermen on the River Feale have no prospects of earning sufficient to pay for their licences this year due to the operation of heavy dredgers in the river; and, if so, if he will make representations to have the licence fee refunded to them.

I am not aware that the drainage work at the mouth of the River Feale has affected netting as stated in the question. There is no provision in the Fisheries Acts for the refund of licence fees.
