Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pensioned Primary Teachers.

asked the Minister for Education if he will furnish a return, indicating the number of primary teachers on pension on 31st December in each of the last ten years, distinguishing between men and women.

As the reply to this question takes the form of a statistical statement, I propose with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle to circulate the statement with the official Report.

The following statement gives the numbers of primary teachers on pension on 31st December in each of the years from 1942 to 1951:
