Vol. 134 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mount Merrion and Redesdale, Stillorgan, Bus Service.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is in a position to state when Córas Iompair Éireann will provide a bus service for Mount Merrion and Redesdale, Stillorgan.

I am advised by Córas Iompair Éireann that it is their intention to inaugurate a bus service for Mount Merrion and Redesdale, Stillorgan, when certain roads on the proposed route at present privately owned have been taken over by the Dublin County Council.

Can the Minister say when the roads will be taken over?

I understand that they will be taken over by the Dublin County Council following the completion of certain works now in progress by the private owners of the lands.

Is there any likelihood that the service will be available this winter?

So far as Córas Iompair Éireann are concerned they will have the services started when the roads become public roads.
