Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition and Division of Land.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring for division the Cooney lands at Haggard, Carbury, County Kildare; and, if so, with what result.

Proceedings are in progress for the acquisition of this estate.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the McGuire lands, Fannett, Newport, County Tipperary, for division amongst the uneconomic holders in the district; and, if so, with what result.

The question of the acquisition of these lands is under consideration but a decision has not yet been taken in the matter.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have yet sanctioned a scheme for the division of the Carden estate, Fishmoyne, Thurles, County Tipperary; and, if so, when it is proposed to divide those lands amongst the smallholders adjoining this estate.

A scheme for the division of this estate has not yet been prepared.
