Vol. 135 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Relief Schemes.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that no relief schemes have been allocated to the Westcove-Castlecove area, County Kerry, and further, that there are a number of unemployed men in the area; and, if so, if he will make a special grant available to this area immediately.

I assume that the areas referred to by the Deputy are the electoral divisions of Caherdaniel and Castlecove. The electoral division of Caherdaniel has been catered for in this winter's programme of works by a special scheme of county council road improvement works in the town-land of Derrynane Beg. The electoral division of Castlecove has been catered for by minor employment scheme road works in the townlands of Bohacogram, Glanlough Lower and Maularostig, respectively.
