Vol. 135 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Clare Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what action, if any, is being taken by the Land Commission to repair the embankments on the lands of Mr. Michael Lyons, Knockanimina, Clarecastle, County Clare.

The Land Commission have no liability for the repair or maintenance of the embankments on the holding in question and no action is being taken by them in the matter.

Can the Minister say why this answer was not given over the last 12 months when inquiries were made by me to the Land Commission?

I do not know.

Mr. O'Higgins

It was the bad Government.

I do not think we have withheld any information from the Deputy. If we have, I must apologise to him, but it seems to me to be a matter in respect of which the Land Commission have no responsibility.
