Vol. 135 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clontarf Tenancy.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the circumstances under which a tenancy of a house in Clontarf has been granted to a person who has been married during the past few months only, and what justification there was for the grant of this tenancy, in view of the fact that applicants for corporation houses with large families are unable to obtain accommodation from the corporation.

I have ascertained from the corporation that a nephew who resided with the original tenant was granted the tenancy of this three-room cottage on the death of his uncle. I am having further inquiries made from the corporation in the matter.
