Vol. 135 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Turkey Reserve Fund.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the amount of the reserve fund in the turkey account accumulated by Eggsports Limited during the Christmas season of 1950 (referred to in Volume 130, No. 8, columns 1109, 1110) and whether it will be drawn upon to maintain the price of 3/6 a lb. at present payable for turkeys.

Mr. Walsh

In view of the fact that seasonal turkey exports have already begun and the market is in progress I should be glad if the Deputy were not to press at the moment for a reply to the first part of his question. If he will renew his inquiry after the Christmas season I shall be happy to give him the information required. As regards the second part of his question, I would refer him to my reply to a previous question put by him on the 9th April last.

Certainly. Perhaps it would suit the Minister better if, at his convenience after the Christmas season, he would send me a line giving me the particulars or else inform me when to put down a question again on the matter.

Mr. Walsh

Certainly.
