Vol. 135 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sea Wall at Portrane.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether the Dublin County Council have re-submitted plans for the building of a sea wall at Portrane; and, if so, if he will have the matter dealt with expeditiously as the coastal erosion is so severe that houses in the area are in danger.

Revised documents for the wall in question have not yet been submitted by the County Council.

Is it not a fact that Dublin County Council sent those papers over some days ago? Can the Minister state whether, if this scheme is approved, it will be financed under the Local Authorities (Works) Act?

The reply which I gave to Deputy Burke was: "Revised documents for the wall in question have not yet been submitted by the county council."

They have been sent up by the county council.
