Vol. 136 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Roscommon Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission towards the acquisition of Mr. O'Dowd's lands, Cams, County Roscommon.

Proceedings are in progress for the acquisition of this estate. An objection has been lodged by the owner and is pending for hearing.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress, if any, has been made by the Land Commission within the last 12 months towards preparing a rearrangement scheme on the Tredennick estate, County Roscommon.

During the last 12 months preliminary investigations were carried out with a view to ascertaining the exact extent of the rearrangement necessary on the Tredennick estate. A considerable number of holdings require rearrangement and inquiries are about to be made to ascertain what lands can be made available to permit of the formulation of an acceptable scheme.
