Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of County Meath Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the Napper estate, Lough Crew, Oldcastle, County Meath, in view of the fact that this estate is ideal for the purpose of establishing a forestry centre and is situated in an area where there is extensive unemployment; and, if so, with what result.

The Forestry Division are negotiating with the solicitors for this estate with a view to acquiring portion thereof for afforestation.
