Vol. 136 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Enfield (County Meath) Bridge.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that Enfield Bridge, County Meath, is highly dangerous to motor traffic and that there is practically one accident per month at this bridge and whether as it is situated on the Dublin-Galway main road he will make a special grant to the Meath County Council to have the necessary repairs carried out without delay.

I am aware that the bridge referred to by the Deputy is in need of replacement. Consideration of the manner in which the work is to be financed must await approval to the final drawings for the new structure which have yet to be submitted to the Department by the Meath County Council.
